Working back from the end-of-life for a product, I propose these necessary deliverables for the product life cycle.
Retirement

Operation
- Maintenance (*may be outside the scope of product developer*)
- Output: products that no longer meet customer needs
- Service: (*outside the scope of the business of interest*)
- Output: customer needs (they acquired it for a purpose - to meet their needs)
Deployment (Logistics Processes)
- Delivery: (Installation, Ship-to-shelf)
- Output: working units in customer 'control' (operational responsibility transferred to 'customer')
