-===== Generic Engineered System Life Cycle =====
-originator: Bruce Lerner

-Observations and discussions (some specifically with <Prof Joe>) had me thinking about how we can claim to be a single discipline if we cannot describe what we do in a clear, consistent, agreed upon format. I am investigating a model consisting of a set of **gates** and describing the **output** from those gates (which is obviously the input to the next stage in the life cycle). I 'special case' the first stage and allow inputs. Joe and I are evaluating existing descriptions of systems related life cycles with this model. We will be adjusting our model as needed to accommodate the existing life cycle descriptions.
